Maybe you've just moved to beautiful Dordogne from the UK, the USA or any other country, and you don't speak a word of French. Or maybe you've been living here for a while but you just can't focus on good old language lessons anymore. But isn't frustrating to struggle everyday and feel that you don't quite fit in with the locals?

Let me help you with that. By combining my experience as a language teacher, as an art-therapist and as a small kid who got thrown into Irish school while not speaking a word of English -and not only survived, but ended up thriving- I offer classes based on creativity, art and art-making AND visits to local shops, museums and places of interest to practise in a natural setting.

Why is art-making relevant to learning languages? Because your whole body gets involved in the process, and it helps understand and retain information while providing a positive, relaxed learning environment. And when you don't understand something perfectly, it's fine : you can have a look at what everybody is doing and experiment. And the best thing is, you don't even need to be any good at drawing or painting for the process to work!

I also offer private interpretation+ sessions and language lessons for horse riders. What is interpretation+? Let's say you have a specific need which requires interacting in a French-speaking environment, from going shopping for a new pair of shoes to having to clarify your problem to the plumber or the electrician or even tour guests around your property, I will help you out but also make sure that it is a teachable service for you by providing you with a list of vocabulary, phrases and explanations which you can practise and reuse on your own. If you really dislike language classes, it is a useful way to build your vocabulary and your understanding of the French language 100% suited to your needs.
